In celebration of 60 years of Tastic rice and its rich heritage within South African culture. Tastic has dedicated this year’s campaign to commemorate the unsung heroines of our communities from all corners of South Africa – our women. From many decades women have been the perfect partners of Tastic as they have played an invaluable role in bringing Tastic to life at the dinner table of their families and making a difference within society. The Tastic brand led by an esteemed woman, Thembi Sehloho who has brought to life the vision of partnering and inspiring the unsung heroines of South Africa to continue their sharing in the spirit of ubuntu that is founded in the little acts of kindness which build the nation.

TASTIC RICE HONOURS SOUTH AFRICA’S UNSUNG HEROINES THIS HERITAGE MONTH

In celebration of 60 years of Tastic rice and its rich heritage within South African culture. Tastic has dedicated this year’s campaign to commemorate the unsung heroines of our communities from all corners of South Africa – our women. From many decades women have been the perfect partners of Tastic as they have played an invaluable role in bringing Tastic to life at the dinner table of their families and making a difference within society. The Tastic brand led by an esteemed woman, Thembi Sehloho who has brought to life the vision of partnering and inspiring the unsung heroines of South Africa to continue their sharing in the spirit of ubuntu that is founded in the little acts of kindness which build the nation.

“As we celebrate Heritage month and draw inspiration from South Africa’s iconic women, it is important for us as a brand to reaffirm our country’s cultural heritage and honour the many unsung heroines who pioneer the everyday struggles to make their communities a better place through lending a helping hand.” Thembi Sehloho, Marketing Director of Pasta and Rice. 

Each year, Tastic rice partners with individuals who have reach extraordinary feats of success in their own passions with a link to the celebration of their culture and heritage. This year Tastic has partnered with 4 iconic South African women who will lead the campaign and its call to every South African to showcase their little acts of kindness in their communities. The Perfect Partners of Tastic for the heritage campaign - Noxolo Grootboom, Basetsana Kumalo, Dudu Khoza, PJ Powers and Rami Chuene have been honoured as the women who will be the leaders of the campaign as Tastic takes over the different regions across the country in a showcase of the brand’s brand purpose of generosity and give back in the form of Tastic Rice ATMs that give rice to communities for free.

Sehloho continues to say “Giving back in a manner that brings people together comes naturally for Tastic rice, we have been an intrinsic part of our country’s heritage and celebratory moments. It is for this reason that we have officially embarked on a journey to partner with women led organizations across the country to place rice ATM’s that will supply affected areas for the month of September” 

Tastic is using the entire month of heritage to setup honorary dinners that bring women who have played central roles to the development of the communities, in the triumph of what South Africa calls ubuntu, the truth celebration of the perfect partnership between Tastic and its people. Tastic believes the world would be a better place if we all exude the spirit of generosity through the act of partnering with our unsung heroines across the country who continue to remind our people about the principles of the spirit of ubuntu.
